Chinese Porcelain Design Competition 2025

June 25 - September 15

Chinese Porcelain

Design Competition

Wanli Blue & White’s Blossoming Inspiration

Blue and white porcelain is a remarkable treasure of Chinese civilisation, with a history spanning thousands of years. Its designs merge traditional Chinese cultural elements—such as pine, bamboo, plum blossoms, and landscape paintings— with Islamic geometric patterns and European heraldry. This illustrates that blue and white porcelain not only embodies Eastern aesthetics but also serves as a testament to the fusion of Chinese and Western cultures.

GuWei Museum and WeMakeGift cordially invite art enthusiasts to participate in this creative competition. Drawing inspiration from classical blue and white porcelain art, participants will design unique patterns on blank teapot templates provided. Show your creativity and celebrate heritage!

This competition features a prestigious judging panel, including:

  • Ms. Pauline Ngai, Co-founder of GuWei Museum
  • Mr. Federico Roberto Antonelli, Director of Italian Institute of Culture & Cultural Counsellor of Embassy of Italy in PRC
  • Ms. Alice Fratarcangeli, Director of Italian Cultural Institute Hong Kong & Macau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation
  • Mr. Simon Yung, Hong Kong Ink Artist
  • Mr. Andrew HY Cheung, Hong Kong Artist & Designer

The judging panel will evaluate entries based on creativity and technical proficiency to ensure a fair and professional selection process. Winners will receive attractive prizes, and their works will be exhibited at the GuWei Museum. We look forward to your enthusiastic participation!
